After a high-atus (gettit) due to altitude, I’m finally able to use my computer again! Woooohooo! Turns out, in the next lot of destinations that we were spending time in after Santa Cruz de la Sierra in Bolivia, the altitude is so crazy that computers are not tested to work at those heights! Computers like my Mac are only tested to a level of 3,000 meters above sea level, which during our time in Bolivia and Peru we were generally far over.

At first, I was a little skeptical but after some research, it turns out that it really can be damaging to your computer in the long-term. Well, I definitely don’t have an extra $2000 floating around for a new one, so I decided to play it safe and not use my computer during the almost 2 months that we were at altitude.

Now we’re back down at sea-level I can finally catch up on some of the amazing places we’ve been!

I’m Stephanie and this year I’m taking a break from life in Australia. I’m traveling South, Central and North America, learning Spanish, eating tacos and seeking out amazing swimming spots. When I’m taking time out from that hectic schedule I like to write, read and relax – and pat cute street animals that I really shouldn’t. I probably wrote most of what you’re reading from my hammock and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
